Gallery Walk: Timeline Reviews
Students will create an ANIMATED REVIEW that shows the major events, people, and ideas that are associated with their assigned period. Groups are only allowed to use one sentence for each item to describe their drawings- NO PARAGRAPHS ALLOWED! Students are responsible for researching the date and time periods that these events took place in. The design of the timeline and creative decisions are made by all group members. The goal of this project is not to assess drawing skills, but to evaluate your skill in researching historical events, sequencing them in order, and summarizing them effectively.
Topics
Groups will choose from one of the topics below to research and create a timeline for. NO TOPICS WILL BE REPEATED. Groups are responsible for making the sure that the terms for each topic are placed on the timeline, as they will determine the MINIMUM GRADE. Groups are welcome to research extra events in order to earn bonus points; however, any of the required terms that are missing from the timeline will result in a loss of points.
