PBL: Falcon Research Database
PROJECTED DUE DATE: Wednesday, 3/6
As information on the Internet becomes harder for students to differentiate between opinion and fact, more schools are developing their own online research databases that students can access both at home and at school. Los Fresnos CISD has decided to create their own databases for a variety of subjects offered in the district, and all the research will be assessed, verified and interpreted by LFU students. It will be a safe research network created by students, for students.
In this project, students will deepen their understanding of how much the world changed from 1400-1750. Each group will be assigned to research a different historical period in order to analyze how historical events affected different world region. What are the significant discoveries and achievements from this period? How were people challenged to think differently during this time? How did these changes impact the world at this point?
Students will be organized into groups and assigned specific roles in order to keep the project on schedule. All students, regardless of topic assignment, will be responsible for writing lecture notes, completing DIY's, and maintaining ISN's. All group members are responsible for completing the duties of the role they have been assigned as well as writing the portions of each page they have been assigned. If your name is not on your writing, you will NOT receive credit!

Project requirements
You will create a Student Weebly website detailing the development and spread of knowledge from 1400-1750. The goal of this assignment will be to create discussion about the political, social, economic, cultural, and intellectual effects of the Renaissance, the Reformation, exploration, and other historical events.
Your job is to research your assigned topic in detail. Remember, in order to create a website that will effectively communicate your learning to your classmates, you will have to become the expert on your topic. This assignment requires you do as much work as you possibly can in order to not only receive a good grade, but to create work that can be shared with others. YOU MUST USE CREDIBLE RESOURCES (this means actually visiting the website Google search results presents you with and WIKIPEDIA DOES NOT COUNT!!)
